Why were men so much better than women in medieval times?

If there were so Many Things going on at Home, then what did the Men Do?

         Men always ruled over women no matter what. Why you ask, because there was a tradition that said that men were better than all of the women! Now men say that women do everything in this world so they can just sit back and relax. Men were thought to be more intelligent, emotionally stable, and morally less feeble. Someone please tell me why these things existed!!! These rules were taught by the church!!!




        Since men were so much better than the women, the women couldn’t do the things that men could. They couldn't even have jobs really!!! But I have to say they did earn all the things they desevered for their hard work. In my opinion, to make things better, I say we’d split the jobs 50/50 outside of the house while the children are at school. Now that is a whole lot more reasonable. :)

Since Children Did NOT go to School, Then what Did They Learn?

        Boys and girls learned a lot of things from their parents so they could go into their adult life too. The girls were always with their mothers to learn to take care of a family when they are women in adulthood and they are also taught household work. The girls use these skills to stay at home while the men are working. Wow, I didn't know the girls had to learn so much just to get through adulthood! The mother takes care of the children, makes dinner, does luandry, etc. The mother dosen't do all of these things because of coarse the children need to learn how to do these things too.

        Boys were taught how to work all the time by their father. I can't believe they had to work so hard but they had to or else the family would become poor and the mother wouldn't be able to get a job to take care of there family. Boys learned their fathers trades' so they could take care of the family business. Most men were traders, and soldiers.

If There Were So Many Families, Then How Did They Take Care of Themselves?

        Every wife is always expected to care for the children. Shouldn’t the husbands care for them too; I mean they are their children too. Children also took care of their mothers. The father couldn't because he was usually working. Rich or poor, children were very important. Rich people would have sons to inherit and poor people have their children work with the parents. So that's why children are so important!!

        If they were married, the husband would arrange a divorce. Man! That wouldn't be good at all. So they got married to each other just because he wanted to have a child? Well that’s just wonderful! Most women would think, at least I would. Most women couldn’t get pregnant because they were malnourished. Malnourished means that you haven’t eaten a lot or you just don’t eat. I would be eating as much as I could to stay healthy.

What did Women do for jobs?

        Since the women were so busy at home already they didn't have a job really because the only job they had was to take care of the father and children at home. I wish they would've had jobs so they could earn their own money and prizes too. They can't because all men "are" better than women. It's not fair at all for the women to not get anything out of the work they are doing but the thing is that they do have a special prize that they will keep for life. Do you know what it is? It's her family. :)

What did Children do besides take Care of Their Mothers?

        Probably, you would think that children went to school, right?? Well you thought wrong!! Children didn't go to school because there weren't many schools on the eastern side of Europe. But I'm pretty sure there were some schools on the west side though. Let me think. OH, there are schools that are called Cathedrals, Monasteries, and Convents! These schools had lots of wealthy children attending these schools all the time. Also a lot of advanced children started going to these kinds of schools.


        Children were usually with their parents doing house work. Both boys and girls had chores to do just like modern day. They also did harvesting crops, carried water, and got firewood!!! Those are really HUGE jobs to do for a small family. The parents teach the children what they do for a living and how they work to get through adulthood.
